About Arkeon Technologies

Arkeon Technologies is a spinout from Chalmers and WACQT. We are developing a room-temperature post-manufacturing process that adjusts the resistance in Josephson junctions on superconducting quantum chips to stabilize and fine-tune qubit frequencies. Our technology reduces frequency variations that cause collisions, crosstalk, and low yield, making scalable quantum technology more feasible.

The Role – Laboratory Engineer

We are looking for an engineer who enjoys combining practical lab work, embedded systems, and technical analysis. This role is suitable for you if you have experience working closely with electronics, prototypes, sensors, or embedded systems and want to develop in testing, measurement, and hardware-related troubleshooting.

As a laboratory engineer, you will work with testing, measurements, and verification of Arkeon's technology. The work involves data collection, documentation, and development of simple scripts or test code in Python or C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Conduct lab tests and measurements on prototypes, electronic modules, and testing equipment
• Collect, structure, and process technical KPIs and measurement data
• Perform troubleshooting of hardware and software-related issues in test setups
• Contribute to improvements in testing processes and the development of testing tools
• Document results in internal reports and technical logs
• Write and use simple scripts or test programs in Python and/or C/C++

Requirements

• Education in mechatronics, electronics, embedded systems, control engineering, or equivalent (Preferably MSc)
• Experience with practical work in electronics, sensors, embedded systems, or measurement equipment
• Basic knowledge of Python and/or C/C++
• Experience with hardware-related troubleshooting, development, or prototyping is highly desirable
• Desirable: experience working in a startup environment
